Residents Of Bridgeport Housing Complex Face Significant Increase In Fees: Report
The complex is more than 70 years old, and is millions of dollars in debt.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — With the complex in debt by millions of dollars, the residents of Success Village, a more than 900-unit housing development in Bridgeport, are facing a significant increase in fees, the Connecticut Post reported.
The complex reportedly has $1 million in new debt, and about $6 million in old debt, resulting in a 20 percent hike in maintenance fees from $550 per month to $660 per month.

Additionally, the complex is tacking on a new assessment of $100 per month for three years for rising insurance costs, after an upfront charge of $300.
The complex, which straddles Bridgeport and Stratford, is more than 70 years old, and was the site of lengthy issues in recent years, reportedly involving problems with the hot water system.
