Reward Offered For Capture Of Bridgeport Murder Suspect

The suspect is wanted in connection with a fatal shooting last October​.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — United States Marshals are offering a reward for information leading to the capture of 18-year-old Bridgeport resident Jahmari "Wack" Cooper, wanted on a murder charge in connection with the shooting death of Jeri Kollack last October.

The shooting occurred in the Greene Homes Housing complex. Cooper currently has three warrants for his arrest from Bridgeport police: Felony Murder, Murder and first-degree Robbery. The U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force was asked to assist in locating Cooper in November. Cooper was believed to have fled the area but Bridgeport police and U.S. Marshals believe that he has returned to the area and is currently hiding out in the surrounding Bridgeport area. Cooper is 5’5 and 130 pounds.

"The U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a cash award of up to $2,500 dollars for information leading to the arrest of Cooper," said Brian O’Neill, Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal in a statement. "Any information will be considered confidential. "Cooper should be consider armed and dangerous, individuals should not attempt to arrest Cooper themselves," O’Neill added.

The case is being handled by the Fugitive Task Force and the Bridgeport Police Department.
