Search For New Bridgeport Schools Superintendent Hits A Snag: Report
The Board of Education bows to public pressure about the process.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — The Bridgeport Board of Education has disbanded its separate superintendent search committee, after public complaints about its lack of transparency, reported the Connecticut Post.
Complaints had rained down on the board for the committee's closed-door meetings that were not publicly recorded, though the board had created the group due to the overall sense of urgency to find a new superintendent.
The school system is seeking to replace Michael Testani, who is leaving to become schools superintendent in Fairfield.
