Separate Weekend Shootings In Bridgeport Leave 2 Injured: Police
One of the shootings occurred at a BP Gas Station on Fairfield Avenue, according to authorities.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Two people were injured in separate shootings over the weekend in Bridgeport, and in both incidents, the suspected shooters remain at-large, according to Bridgeport police.
The first shooting occurred at about 10:35 p.m. in the 100 block of Ogden Street, when a ShotSpotter activation alerted police that two rounds were fired.
"A few minutes later Bridgeport Hospital staff reported a person arrived at their Emergency Room with a gunshot wound to the neck," wrote Bridgeport Police Capt. Kevin Gilleran in a statement. "The victim, identified as a 35-year-old Bridgeport man, is reported to have been grazed in the neck by gunfire while seated in a parked vehicle located on Ogden Street. The gunshot wound is reported to be non-life-threatening and the victim is listed in stable condition."

Police collected evidence from the scene, and Gilleran said that the victim was likely not the target.
"An unidentified male riding a bicycle is reported to have been in a dispute with occupants of a white vehicle traveling south on William Street during the time of this incident," Gilleran said. "The 35-year-old male does not appear to be the intended target. After the 2 shots were fired, the white vehicle and unidentified male riding the bicycle were observed traveling further southbound on William Street and out of victim’s sight."

In the second shooting, a 35-year-old Bridgeport man was shot in the right eye early Sunday at a BP Gas Station on Fairfield Avenue, according to police.
The shooting occurred just after 3 a.m., and officers who arrived at the scene initially found 20 shell casings but no victim.
"At approximately 6:35 am [Sunday] morning a 35-year-old Bridgeport man arrived at Bridgeport Hospital with a gunshot wound to his right eye," police said. "The Bridgeport Police Detective Bureau has responded and taken charge of the investigation."
The victim, who is listed in "guarded" condition, told police that he was shot at the gas station, but was unable to provide additional information.
