Several Road Closures Reported In Bridgeport: Police
Monday's rainstorm resulted in flooding in Bridgeport and around the state.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Due to the flooding from Monday's rainstorm, the Bridgeport Police Department announced the following roads will be closed until conditions are deemed safe for reopening:
- East Main Street & Crescent Street
- Bishop Avenue at the Railroad Avenue Viaduct
- River Street between North Washington Avenue & North Avenue
- State Street & Iranistan Avenue
"Please avoid these areas, use alternate routes, and never drive through flooded roadways," authorities said in a statement. "These closures are in place to help keep everyone safe."
