Shots Fired During Attempted Home Invasion In Bridgeport: Police
The incident occurred Friday night on the city's West Side, according to authorities.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Bridgeport police are investigating an attempted home invasion Friday night on the city's West Side in which masked suspects fired gunshots as they fled, according to authorities.
Officers were dispatched to a home on Butler Avenue around 10:30 p.m. after a resident reported seeing two masked suspects attempting to break into a side window, police said. The suspects had jumped over a fence to enter the property.
"After being scared off, the suspects ran to a car and fled, but not before firing gunshots at persons who were outside," Bridgeport Police Det. Jeffrey Holtz wrote in a statement. "No one was injured. A car belonging to one of the individuals who was fired at was struck by bullets. Shell casings were found in the area."

Bridgeport police believe the home was targeted.
The Bridgeport Police Department's Detective Bureau responded to the scene and is investigating. No arrests have been made.
