Wanda Simmons and Victoria Majewski, candidates running for the Bridgeport City Council District 139 seats, announced they have successfully petitioned to appear on the democratic ballot for the September primary. The candidates collected over 300 signatures among voters in the district, thanks to the work of the Rise Up 2021 campaign volunteers and community activists motivated to bring change to the city government.

“We need an honest, transparent government in Bridgeport, with leaders that make working families their main priority,” says Wanda Simmons.“We are building a grassroots movement to bring change to Bridgeport - and now it is the time to make that happen.”
