YES even our railroad station has history behind it.WE service today AMTRACK/METRO NORTH/at 525 WATER STREET.This station replaced our former one.The facility is owned by THE CITY OF BRIDGEPORT and track ownership is THE STATE OF CT.From this focal point people can take trains, buses or the ferry .The building came about in 2008.The trains that run here merged way back in 1872 when the city was thriving with manufacturing and ship building took place.P.T.BARNUM helped get the tracks elevated.SO again BARNUM was involved. The city has a nice bus station today versus years ago and of course the ferry works well for folks.
