Some literary critics downgrade EDGAR ALLAN POE.POE was indeed a strange person to some but indeed when you are so talented others will knock your successes.Wheter he used drugs or was a alcoholic is of no concern to any of us.ALL we should concern ourselves with is his literary works that today many years later are indeed impressive.POE I feel was a literary giant.His stories are indeed deep horror but perhaps as a writer he expressed himself based on his characters.HIS emotions perhaps were expressed within the words he wrote.NO matter what he wrote he left us with stories that will entertain us for centuries to come .Even if you as a reader never read POE ,read his stories stretch your horizons be entertained by a author who was so expressive and unique.
