Starbucks Supervisor Files Suit Against Company: Report

A former Starbucks supervisor from Bridgeport is suing the company, claiming it failed to protect him from an abusive customer.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A former Starbucks supervisor has filed suit against the company claiming that it failed to protect him from a customer, News 12 Connecticut reported. Dayshawn Rodriguez, 30, of Bridgeport, says a customer repeatedly harassed him in 2020 at the downtown Westport location, physically abusing him and using racial slurs.

Starbucks has asked the court to dismiss the lawsuit and force Rodriguez into arbitration, which Rodriguez has not agreed to.

Starbucks hasn't commented on the specifics of the lawsuit, according to News 12 Connecticut.
