State Cops Seek Witnesses To 'Serious Injury Collision' In Bridgeport
The crash occurred early Tuesday morning northbound on I-95 just before Exit 29.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Connectiut State Police are asking for the public's help with its investigation of a serious crash that occurred early Tuesday morning on I-95 in Bridgeport.
The crash, which involved a Mack truck, occurred just after 6 a.m. northbound prior to Exit 29 in the right lane.
"Vehicle #1 was negotiating a right curve and lost control on a wet roadway, for an unknown reason," the crash report reads. "Vehicle #1 entered the right shoulder colliding with the concrete jersey barrier. Operator #1 was ejected from Vehicle #1. Vehicle #1 continued across all travel lanes colliding with the concrete jersey barrier in the median."

The driver of the truck is a 23-year-old Ozone Park, New York man who suffered serious injuries. He is being treated in Bridgeport Hospital, and his condition was not immediately known.
"The State of Connecticut Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Squad responded to the scene to assist with the investigation," authorities said. "This collision remains under investigation, if anyone witnessed this collision please contact Troop G at (203) 696-2500."
