BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Connecticut State Police trooper suffered minor abrasions to his right hand late Wednesday night when his cruiser struck a guardrail and flipped over multiple times in a one-vehicle crash on Route 25 in Bridgeport, according to officials.

Trooper First Class Matthew Losh was driving a 2013 Ford Interceptor northbound just north of exit 5 at about 11:50 p.m. when the crash occurred.

"TFC. Losh lost control of Vehicle #1 due to the wet roadway conditions and veered into the median," wrote state police in a release. "Vehicle #1 struck the metal beam guardrail and rolled over multiple times. Vehicle #1 came to an uncontrolled final rest on its roof, partially in the shoulder/left lane."
