State Trooper Saves Choking Elderly Man in Bridgeport: Police
A State Trooper is being praised for his quick actions after saving a choking elderly man in Bridgeport Thursday night.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Connecticut State Trooper is being praised for his quick thinking and action after he saved an elderly man who was choking Thursday.
In a Facebook post Thursday, state police said Trooper List (his first name was not released) quickly responded after an elderly man approached him and said he was choking. List performed the heimlich maneuver and dislodged a pice of meat from the man's throat.
"AMR personnel and the restaurant manager praised Trooper List for his immediate response and life-saving action," wrote the post."Thankfully Trooper List was in the right place at the right time to help the choking man."

List had been picking up his dinner at Vazzy's Restaurant in Bridgeport at the time.

State police say that AMR ambulance responded to the scene and evaluated the man to ensure his safety.
