Stolen ATM Found Opened And Empty In Bridgeport: State Police

The machine had been stolen in New Haven, according to state police.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — An Automated Teller Machine, which state police said had been stolen in New Haven, was found opened and empty Monday on the side of Route 8 in Bridgeport.

The machine was found by a Department of Transportation crew, who alerted state police.

"Of course, the machine was empty of cash, but that makes cents, right?" troopers joked in a post on Facebook (see below). "We know that money talks, so if you witnessed the disposal of this ATM, please call Troop G at 203-696-2500.
