Stolen Vehicle Found, Bridgeport Man Arrested: Naugatuck Police

Police said two men were arrested after officers located a BMW that had been reported stolen in Naugatuck.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport man and a Naugatuck man were both arrested this week after officers located a stolen vehicle in Naugatuck, according to the Naugatuck Police Department.

In a news release posted to Facebook, police said detectives were proactively looking for stolen vehicles in town Tuesday when they spotted a gray BMW sedan in the area of High Street that matched the description of a vehicle recently reported stolen in Fairfield County.

According to police, detectives saw Dominik Marini, 22, of Naugatuck, and Kyzhon Blanc, 20, of Bridgeport, exit the car and walk away, then walk back toward the vehicle a short time later.

When they detained the pair, Blanc provided officers with a counterfeit driver's license, according to police.

Marini was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle and conspiracy to commit larceny of a motor vehicle. A remand to custody order from parole was also issued for Marini, according to police.

Blanc was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle second offense, conspiracy to commit larceny of a motor vehicle second offense, second-degree forgery and operating a motor vehicle without a license.

Blanc also had two active warrants for violation of probation and failure to appear, which were served while he was in custody, according to police.

Both men were held on a $50,000 surety bond and arraigned in court Wednesday, police said.
