Storytelling takes Bridgeport by Storm!

PechaKucha Night Bridgeport is igniting community conversations, connections and unplugged fun

Bridgeport PechaKucha Night, Volume #2 will be held at The Barnum Museum on September 12, 2018
PechaKucha is focused on the sharing of true stories that are 400 seconds long. They are designed to ignite connections & community conversations in an unplugged, fun and compelling format!
The second area PechaKucha Night (PKN) will be held on Wednesday, September 12 from 6 to 9:00 p.m. at The Barnum Museum in Bridgeport. Participants will speak on topics which spark their passions. The theme of the evening is a quote from P.T. himself — “The noblest art is that of making others happy!”
PechaKucha events are designed to bring people together to listen to great personal stories. PechaKucha is Japanese for “chit-chat.” It is a licensed presentation format in which each speaker uses 20 slides, shown for 20 seconds, resulting in a total presentation time of 6 minutes and 40 seconds. The format makes stories focused, fast paced, fun and/or funky.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. and seating is open and on a first-come basis. Speakers will begin at 6:45 p.m. Admission is FREE.
Dinner will be available for purchase prepared by renowned local Chef Raquel Rivera-Pablo from A Pinch of Salt. Guests are encouraged to bring their appetite for delicious freshly prepared locally sourced cuisine. No alcohol service is available but guests may “BYOB.”
There will be four PKNs in Bridgeport annually. Volume #3 PKN will be presented at the Bijou Theatre on Sunday, November 11, 2018, in conjunction with the Bridgeport Art Trail (http://bridgeport-art-trail.org/ ).
