Suspect Accused Of Armed Robbery Of Bridgeport Jewelry Store: PD

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 32-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested on first-degree robbery and related charges last week in connection with the June 2023 armed robbery of ABC Jewelry on Boston Avenue, according to Bridgeport police.

Adam Buster was taken into custody while at his job in Shelton on Friday. In addition to robbery, Buster was also charged with second-degree assault and first-degree larceny.

According to Bridgeport Police Det. Jeffrey Holtz, the incident began when "three suspects wearing mask and gloves and brandishing guns, rushed into ABC Jewelry and forced three employees into a back room, where they were pistol-whipped and robbed of personal items."

One of the employees suffered a broken rib in the robbery, Holtz said, while another sustained a head injury.

Buster and the other suspects also smashed display cases and ripped items off the walls, resulting in approximately $100,000, mostly gold jewelry, being stolen.

The suspects' getaway car was later recovered and processed by detectives.

Bridgeport police have outstanding felony warrants for the other two suspects, who are incarcerated on unrelated charges. Holtz said the two will be arrested on similar charges under the habeas corpus process in the near future.
