Suspects In Bridgeport Robbery Lead Authorities On Chase That Ends In Woodbridge: Police

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Two suspects are in custody after Bridgeport police said the pair robbed a store Thursday morning, and then led police on a pursuit that ended in Woodbridge.

The incident began at about 9:20 a.m. in the 1400 block of Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport, when police received a report of a robbery.

"The responsible party fled the scene but was located by an Officer shortly thereafter," wrote Shawnna White, Bridgeport's Public Information Officer, in a statement to Patch. "The responsible party engaged Officers in a pursuit which ended in Woodbridge, CT and two parties are now in custody."

Additional information was not immediately available, but White said there are no reported injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
