TD Bank Supports Homes for the Brave

This Friday, November 18, TD Bank will be hosting a fundraiser to benefit our nation’s Veterans in the Bridgeport, Connecticut area. Throughout November, TD Bank will aim to better assist Veterans with permanent housing, mental healthcare and disability services.

In the Bridgeport area, TD Bank is partnering with Homes for the Brave, which specializes in providing housing, vocational training and job placement, mental health and addiction services, and life skills coaching to help Veterans leave homelessness behind. This will serve as one of 120 community fundraisers in November.

Homes for the Brave

In Connecticut, there are at least 950 veterans who do not have a place to call home. To combat such a problem, Homes for the Brave has provided housing, vocational training and job placement, mental health and addiction services and life skills coaching to help individuals leave homelessness behind. Homes for the Brave currently has 42 beds and is the largest veterans’ shelter in Connecticut. In addition to donations, Homes for the Brave will be collecting food and toiletries.

Help TD Bank support Homes for the Brave by stopping in to donate at our Bridgeport Area Stores on from November 1-18th. On top of your donation, TD Bank make a contribution to help homeless veterans with their journey to become self-sufficient and independent.
