More Details Released On Missing Bridgeport Teen Mother, Infant Son
Emily Benitez, 15, and her infant son, Oliver Ortiz, have been missing for more than a week, according to Bridgeport police.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 15-year-old mother from Bridgeport, and her infant son, have been reported missing, according to Bridgeport police.
Emily Benitez, and her son, 5-month-old Oliver Ortiz, have been missing since July 26. The two were last seen together.
The two were reported missing by the family's Connecticut Department of Children and Families case worker.

According to Bridgeport Police Capt. Kevin Gilleran, the case has not fit the criteria for an Amber Alert, because "there needs to be an imminent danger of serious bodily injury or death."
Instead, a Silver Alert was issued by the state Department of Public Safety on Wednesday.

Benitez is described as white/Hispanic, with brown eyes and brown hair. She stands 5 feet, 1 inch tall, and weighs 110 pounds.
Oliver is also described as white/Hispanic, with brown eyes and black hair.
No description was given about the clothing the two were wearing when last seen.
"The Bridgeport Police Department is working with our law enforcement partners to bring this incident to a safe and speedy conclusion," Gilleran said in a statement. "We are asking for the public's help in locating Emily and Oliver."
