Three Bridgeport Nonprofits Awarded Six-Figure Grants
The group was one of 50 nonprofits statewide awarded the grants.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Three local nonprofits have been awarded a grant from the Governor's office for capital improvement projects. CT Renaissance, Inc. was awarded $347,292; SW CT Agency on Aging was awarded $243,600; and The Workplace was awarded $200,000.
“By supporting capital purchases that enhance service delivery, efficiency, and effectiveness, and address health, safety and accessibility issues, this grant program assists nonprofit agencies in focusing on what they do best – getting services to those who need them most,” Governor Dannel Malloy said.
The grant was a part of $15.1 million awarded to 50 nonprofit organizations statewide. The grants assist organizations with one-time infrastructure improvements that upgrade the services offered by the organizations.
