Three-vehicle crash Mars Traffic On Route 8 in Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Route 8 south in Bridgeport is a traffic mess after an early-afternoon crash, according to the state Department of Transportation.

DOT officials report the three-vehicle accident, which took place between exits 3 and 2, has closed the right and center lanes of the state highway.

The accident was first reported at 12:48 p.m., with the DOT estimating the cleanup will take no more than an hour before normal operations resume.
