Victim Suffers Leg Wounds In Bridgeport Shooting: Police

The shooting occurred Wednesday afternoon near the intersection of State Street and Iranistan Avenue, according to authorities.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 52-year-old Bridgeport man is listed in stable condition in an area hospital after being shot multiple times in the leg on Wednesday, according to Bridgeport police.

The shooting occurred just before 3 p.m. near the intersection of State Street and Iranistan Avenue, and remains under investigation.

"This appears to be an isolated incident," said Bridgeport Police Capt. Kevin Gilleran in a statement, adding that detectives collected evidence in the 800 block of Iranistan Avenue, and conducted interviews.

"No suspect information at this time," he said.
