POE was a genius when it came to writing GOTHIC pieces.HE knew fear and horror captured his readers into reading his stories.With fear as well as horror in his sight he created prose that certainly frightened numerous readers.POE gave his audience what they wanted,what they needed ,what they thrived for.POES' works are unique for sure and his characters so realistic,so cunning at times as well as scarey.POES' works will continue for centuries to entertain us for do we not all enjoy being scared to some degree?IT is part of life to have fear instilled into our daily lives and its'normal to be scared reading a good mystery or story about death and characters that come alive in the pages of horror story books.AM I not alone in my feelings that POE wanted to scare us to some degree by his creations?I do not believe any other writer including-myself can instill fear in our minds like POE does even to this day so many decades later.HE indeed was a literary genius for sure and will never be copied though some writers envy his works no doubt.BUT ,no one will ever copy the works of this genius named EDGAR ALLAN POE.
