Woman Charged In Fatal Bridgeport Pedestrian Crash

The woman had multiple drugs in her system at the time of the crash, according to police.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Trumbull woman was arrested for a December crash that left a Bridgeport pedestrian dead, according to police.

Marie Tufaro, 41, had drugs including oxycodone in her system when she hit Shylane Crooks, 50, of Bridgeport while driving the wrong way at a high rate of speed, according to the Connecticut Post.

The crash happened near the intersection of Huntington Turnpike and Priscilla Street. Crooks was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
