Woman Steals $1,300 From Man At Stop And Shop: Police

Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly stole $1,300 from a man who dropped his wallet.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect who stole $1,300 from a victim who dropped his wallet at the Stop and Shop on Fairfield Avenue. Police said video footage show the woman picking up the wallet from in between the victim's feet and taking the money.

She then puts the money in her pants pocket and the wallet in the shopping cart.

The suspect may possibly be using the name "Marlene" and frequents the Fairfield Avenue or Read Street areas.
