• University of New Haven alumnus gives $10 million to support new Saudi Arabia campus (greenwichtime.com) — A University of New Haven alumnus who founded Bristol-based P-Q Controls has donated $10 million to launch a new College of Business and Digital Innovation at the university’s upcoming Riyadh campus. While the gift supports students in Saudi Arabia, it also spotlights Bristol’s role in global education through the success of a local manufacturing entrepreneur.
   

• Massapequa International wins Little League Softball World Series elimination game, plays on Tuesday (newsday.com) — A Mid-Atlantic Little League Softball regional elimination game played in Bristol saw Massapequa edge Middletown-Odessa-Townsend (Delaware) 4–3 on Monday night. A late sixth-inning rally and strong pitching closed out the win, sending Massapequa on to face Delmar (Maryland) in another elimination matchup Tuesday morning.
