• Missing man search continues in Bristol (newportdispatch.com) — Bristol police are still searching for 71-year-old Robert Harper, who left his home on foot August 10 and hasn’t been seen since. Officers have used bloodhounds, drones, and followed up on unconfirmed sightings, and now urge residents to review home security footage and call 860-584-3011 with any possible leads. 
• 'Bayonne vs. Everybody.' Bayonne defeats CT to advance to the Little League World Series (news12.com) — Bayonne’s 12-and-under Little League team defeated Connecticut 8–6 to clinch a trip to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, with the decisive regional game played in Bristol. The underdog New Jersey squad brought three busloads of fans to Connecticut and turned their “Bayonne vs. Everybody” motto into a winning reality.
