107th state House candidates Pearson, Harding to debate Oct. 25

District includes Brookfield, Bethel's Stony Hill section, and a slice of northern Danbury

BROOKFIELD – The Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a debate this fall between the candidates for the state House seat in the 107th District.

Republican incumbent Stephen Harding and Democratic challenger Daniel Pearson, both of Brookfield, will discuss a variety of state issues on Thursday, October 25, at 7 p.m. in the Seminar Room at Whisconier Middle School.

The district encompasses all of Brookfield, the Stony Hill section of Bethel and a slice of northern Danbury.

The event is free and the public is invited.

The debate will be moderated by Scott Benjamin, an online Political Science instructor at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and a reporter for Brookfield Patch.

The chamber has sponsored several debates over the recent years, including forums in each of the last five municipal elections between the candidates for Brookfield first selectman.
