• Restaurant Chain Opens New Location In Brookfield (patch.com) — Brookfield residents have a new dining option as Jaipore Xpress opens a fast-casual Indian restaurant on Federal Road, offering online ordering, catering, and limited seating. The Brookfield spot is the chain’s seventh location, extending a family-run brand known for traditional recipes and Indian hospitality across Connecticut and New York.    

• Law Enforcement Across The State Teamed Up To Carry Special Olympics Torch (newtownbee.com) — Brookfield police officers helped lead a multi-town Law Enforcement Torch Run carrying the Special Olympics Connecticut torch toward Southern Connecticut State University. The torch entered Newtown from Bethel, with officers and Garner Correctional staff taking turns running along Route 302 before Brookfield, Danbury, and state police motorcycles guided the pack through town.    

• Norwich Free Academy's Caroline Goderre dominates CIAC Open field to win by 7 strokes (newstimes.com) — A Brookfield High golfer, Layla Drago, shot an 83 while competing against top players statewide at the CIAC State Open girls golf championship at Mohegan Sun Golf Club. Norwich Free Academy’s Caroline Goderre dominated the field with a 72 to win by seven strokes in a strong, injury-thinned field of Connecticut standouts.
