Bethel Man Charged with Possession of Cocaine Paraphernalia

Police allegedly find used drug paraphernalia during traffic stop.

A traffic stop was conducted on Bonny Road at 4:39 p.m. on March 7, resulting in a Bethel man being arrested for alleged possession of paraphernalia used to imbibe cocaine.

According to police reports, an investigation during the traffic stop revealed articles of drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle, which subsequently tested positive as being cocaine-type paraphernalia.

Douglas Canaperi, 50, of Oakridge Road, Bethel, was arrested and charged with illegal possession of drug paraphernalia and released on a written promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on March 19.
