At 4:08 p.m. on June 6, Sara Smith, 19, of Grassy Plain Road, Bethel, was involved in an altercation with family members at a Brookfield residence.
After an investigation, Smith was arrested on charges of assault in the third degree (minor injury or intent to cause minor injury), disorderly conduct, larceny in the sixth degree and criminal violation of a protective order.
According to police, Smith also flailed about while being arrested, leading to an additional charge of interfering with an officer.
She was released on a written promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on June 7.
Smith was also arrested by Bethel police the next day, June 7, after a similar altercation at her home.
