BROOKFIELD, CT — The Board of Finance has voted this week to give the green light to use $200,000 from the general funds to repair storm damage to public spaces and the lights at the high school athletic field, The News Times has reported.

The board also approved $45,000 from the general fund to install metal light poles at the high school athletic field. Insurance covered the majority of the $430,000 pole repairs, and the additional $45,000 allowed for the upgrade from wooden to metal poles.
