BROOKFIELD, CT — The Brookfield High School football team hopes to raise $8,000 for equipment, fees and travel costs.
According to the team's fundraising page, money raised will allow for the costs of a strength and conditioning coach, a team barbecue, the senior dinner, replacement practice gear, practice safety equipment, and the annual subscription fee for Hudl Sidelines, an online video service that enables players ad coaches to study rival teams.
"Raising dollars for extra curricular activities is very difficult to do but is vital for our program," the team wrote on the website.
