Brookfield Candidate Profile: Amy Foster For Board of Education

BROOKFIELD, CT — The 2019 municipal election is heating up in Brookfield and there are plenty of races with candidates eager to serve in elected office.

Brookfield Patch asked candidates to answer questions about their campaigns and will be publishing candidate profiles as election day draws near.

Amy Foster is running for a seat on the Board of Education as an unaffiliated candidate, but appearing on the Democratic ballot. She is a teacher at Prince of Peace Preschool, and holds a BA in liberal arts from the University of Connecticut.

The single most pressing issue facing our town/district is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

I believe the educational system is essential to make Brookfield a better place for all residents. My priority is to improve the opportunities and facilities available to our student population.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I currently have three children attending Brookfield Schools. As a parent I am in a position to see firsthand the needs and strengths of our schools.
