My husband Les and I have called Brookfield home for the past 39 years. We raised our three sons here. Chris, Alex and Andrew are all members of the “Thirteen Year Club”. Les and I welcomed our first grandchild, Miles, to our family this past year.

Previous or Current Elected or Appointed Office: *

I am currently serving my second term on the Board of Selectmen and through my role as a selectman act as a liaison between the BOS and many appointed commissions such as Board of Education, Commission on Aging, Lake Lillinonah Authority, Candlewood Lake Authority, Parks and Recreation and the Arts Commission.

The single most pressing issue facing our town/district is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it. *

My priority is shepherding the new school project through the design and construction process. I began the process as a member of the New Building Ad Hoc committee so I’m deeply entrenched with the communities priorities for the building. I believe it’s important to keep continuity in the project.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post? *

I’m boots on the ground. I attend my committee meetings so I’m aware of issues and bring them back to the BOS. This knowledge is critical for day to day operations, and especially during budget discussions.

List other issues that define your campaign platform:

The expansion of the Still River Greenway, and the completion of the Four Corners development. I will also continue to fight to keep taxes at a level that provides services necessary to the schools and also town services while considering all residents.

The best advice ever shared with me was ...

What you DO is very important. But YOU are NOT important. It is your job to know your town and vote your town.
