Here are the latest, local updates on how the coronavirus outbreak is impacting Brookfield.
BROOKFIELD, CT — First Selectman Steve Dunn has announced the Town is implementing a new system that will allow officials to broadcast, via voice, text and email updates, the status of the new coronavirus pandemic for residents daily.
"This will be an opt-in service so in the next few days look for instructions on how to opt in on the town website," Dunn said. "Please take advantage of this as it will be a critical link in keeping our residents informed."
Unlike most municipalities in southwestern Connecticut, Brookfield's number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has held steady for the past two days, at 58, according to the state Department of Public Health.
