Brookfield Fire Companies Respond to Brush Fire

Friday morning at approximately 10:58 a.m., the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company and Brookfield’s Candlewood Company Inc. were dispatched to a brush fire in the area of Pocono Road and Silvermine Road.

Brookfield Police stated:

“As usual, both companies made quick work of the brush fire reducing the amount of property damage, and thankfully doing so without injuries. What made this incident note worthy was one of our commanding officers was caught red handed playing firefighter! Actions like this is what keeps the Police/Fire Brotherhood alive and strong in Brookfield! Well done Major Purcell!”
