Brookfield High School Sets Plans For 2020 Graduation
The Brookfield High School ceremony will include all the traditional pomp and circumstance, including speeches and a processional.
BROOKFIELD, CT — The class of 2020 will be receiving their diplomas on stage with their family looking on, after all.
Plans call for the graduating seniors to travel by car caravan from Whisconier Middle School on June 20, beginning at 11 a.m. Families have been encouraged to decorate their car for the parade.
Upon arrival at BHS, the graduates and no more than two family members will enter the school to have their names called and diploma awarded. The ceremony will include all the traditional pomp and circumstance, including speeches and a processional, which families may watch on the district's YouTube channel. The awarding of diplomas will be livestreamed.

No more than 50 people will be allowed into the building at any time, and all groups have been asked to maintain a distance of at least 15 feet from each other. Families will have the opportunity to have their photos taken by a professional photographer, and he district has plans to distribute a video recording of the ceremony, as well as the speeches, later this summer.
