• Dolly Parton-Themed Corn Maze To Open In CT Days After Icon's Death (patch.com) — A Dolly Parton-themed corn maze is opening at Twins BBQ Co. in Brookfield on Sept. 5, running through Nov. 7 at 401 Federal Road. The five-acre maze, part of a 20-farm international campaign, offers Dolly trivia games, photo spots, and farm activities, while donating a portion of proceeds to her Imagination Library for early-childhood books. 
• Connecticut football Alliance reaches all 134 teams. Could bigger changes loom? (newstimes.com) — Connecticut's High School Football Alliance now includes all 134 teams, reshaping how schedules and playoff paths are set statewide. Brookfield's program is cited among SWC schools that benefited from Alliance matchups, as coaches debate whether expanding Alliance games could eventually outweigh traditional league rivalries and Thanksgiving traditions important to many communities.
