Brookfield Launches Program to Help Residents Go Solar

The program is an outreach campaign that seeks to educate residents on how to save money by switching to solar power.

BROOKFIELD, CT -- The town has announced it is once again participating in the Solarize Connecticut program. The program is an outreach campaign that seeks to educate residents on how to save money by switching to solar power.

The town has selected RGS Energy as their solar installer.

First Selectman Steve Dunn said in a release: "Solarize Brookfield is a way for our residents to save money and reduce their carbon foorprint through solar power. Residenrs can take adcantage of soar incentives and different financing options to stabilize their electric bills for years to come."

The Solarize Brookfield program will host a workshop on Tuesday, May 22 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Brookfield Town Hall, Room 133, at 100 Pocono Road. Residents can learn about the program, meet their solar installer, learn about fininancing options and see if their house is good for solar.

Homeowners who want to find out if their home is good for solar can check their status on the Solarize website.
