Brookfield Library Announces New Director: Report
The new librarian formerly served a library in New York as well as the Sandy Hook Elementary School.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Starting next week, the Brookfield Library will be led by someone other than Anita Barney for the first time in 14 years, reports the News Times.
The library announced that former resident Yvonne Cech will replace Barney beginning next week. The Danbury native Cech srved as the director of the Croton Free Library in Croton-on-Hudson, NY.
She also served as the department head and library media specialist for the Sandy Hook Elementary School and helped design the library in the new school building.

The new director will start on March 27. You can meet her for coffee at the library on April 19, 24, and 27.
