Brookfield Lions Donate Cuddle Bears to Hartford Medical Center
Cuddle Bears help ease fears of Pediatric Cancer patients.

100 Cuddle Bears were recently delivered to the Hartford CT Medical Center as part of the Brookfield Lions Club's Pediatric Cancer initiative. The bears will be distributed and cuddled by children in the Hematology/ Oncology unit. The is an ongoing, self supporting program. Anyone wishing to make a tax deductible donation to the program can contact Jackie Kettunen at jkettunen@earthlink.net.

The Brookfield Lions support a number of local, regional and international causes including Pediatric/Adult Vision Screening, Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation, Eyeglasses for the Needy, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Red Cross Blood Drives, Ability Beyond and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The Brookfield Lions meet on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
