Brookfield Lions Honor Pam Perlman

Perlman Awarded the Knight of the Blind

At a recent meeting of the Brookfield Lions, Pam Perlman (pictured left) was honored as a Knight of the Blind. Presenting the award is President Lyn Lyon (pictured right). The Knight of the Blind is highest honor for Lions of Connecticut. It is awarded by the Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation, Inc. and recognizes a commitment to the ideals of Lionism especially as related to vision. Some of her accomplishments include her support of Pediatric and Adult Vision Screening and Leadership role with the Brookfield Leo’s Club at the Brookfield High School.

The Lions Club is the largest Service Organization in the World with over 1.4 million members in 45,000 Local clubs located in over 200 countries and territories. The Brookfield Lions support a number of local, regional and international causes including Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Pediatric/Adult Vision Screening, Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation, Eyeglasses for the Needy, Red Cross Blood Drives, Ability Beyond and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The Brookfield Lions meet on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
