Brookfield Makes Decision On School For Wednesday

Brookfield Public Schools are on an early dismissal schedule for Wednesday, March 21, officials announced. Dismissal times are as follows: Brookfield High School- 10:30 a.m., Whisconier- 11:00 a.m., Huckleberry and Center School- 11:35 a.m. After school activities are canceled.

A nor'easter is expected to bring up to a foot of snow to the area today. The snow should be at its heaviest this afternoon and evening before it tapers off around midnight.

This is the fourth straight nor'easter Connecticut has seen over the past month. Power outages are expected to be less of a concern this time because while winds may gust to 30-35 mph at times, it won't approach the strength of previous storms.
