Brookfield Man Facing DUI Charge in Wilton
The man admitted to police that he had consumed alcoholic beverages prior to driving.
A Brookfield man is facing a DUI charge in Wilton.
According to police, on July 31 an officer noticed a small Sedan traveling on Route 7 that drifted over the double yellow lines in the area of the YMCA driveway and again across from Allens Meadow.
Police say they activated the overheads and the vehicle responded by moving to the right but did not stop until it passed Cannon Road.

The driver, identified as Daniel McCarthy, 23 admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages and was arrested. He was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive in the proper lane.
He was released on a promise to appear in court on Aug. 10.
