Brookfield Man Pleads Guilty to Federal Drug Charges
Glenn Wagner, 49, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Hartford on Monday to one count of conspiracy to possess and distribute more than 100 kilograms of marijuana between January 2007 and February 2011.

A Brookfield man who was has reportedly pleaded guilty as part of an agreement with prosecutors.
According to a report in the Danbury News-Times, Glenn Wagner, 49, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Hartford on Monday to one count of conspiracy to possess and distribute more than 100 kilograms of marijuana between January 2007 and February 2011. He has reportedly agreed to serve a minimum of five years in prison as part of the plea negotiation with federal prosecutors.
As per the plea deal, prosecutors tossed additional charges against Wagner including conspiracy to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug offense, and possession of a prohibited firearm.

Wagner is one of four men who police said operated a drug ring that distributed marijuana and steroids in and around the Danbury area since January 2007. As reported on Brookfield Patch, the four men, who were arrested in February 2011, were each charged with conspiracy to traffic and distribute controlled substances.
Local, state and federal drug officials reportedly found “100 kilograms or more” of marijuana in Wagner's home when they raided it on February 24, 2011. He was reportedly in possession of a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun which was seized.

As per the plea deal, one of Wagner’s homes in Brookfield will be forfeited, along with several motorcycles and an ATV, according to the News-Times report.
Other defendants charged in the case are Mark Mansa, of Bethel, Kevin Lubic, of Salem, NY, and Richard Sciaccentano, of Stuart, Fla. According to the News-Times report, Mansa and Sciaccentano have also entered guilty pleas, but Lubic has so far maintained his not guilty plea.
