Brookfield Motorcyclist Involved In Accident In Newtown

A Brookfield man operating a Honda motorcycle lost control of his bike, crossed the double yellow lines and crashed into a United Parcel Service (UPS) truck traveling in the opposite direction, south, near 20 Saw Mill Road in Newtown at about 5 p.m., Friday, police said. The motorcyclist, identified as Michael Ocskasy, 34, of 6 Lakeview Drive, Brookfield, was taken to Danbury Hospital with unknown injuries and subsequently released. The UPS truck driver, Jim Lor, 33, of 6 Victor St., Danbury, reported no injuries, police said.

Ocskasy was charged with operating under suspension and failure to stay right. He was released on a $250 bond and an order to appear in state Superior Court in Danbury on June 8.
