Brookfield PD Apply for Distracted Driving Crackdown Grant
During last year's periods of enhanced enforcement, more than 100 tickets were issued.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Town officials have approved the police department applying for a grant to heighten distracted driving enforcement, the News Times has reported.
On Monday night, the selectman gave the green light to the PD to apply for a $30,000 grant from the state Department of Transportation which would cover the costs of the enhanced policing.
One stipulation is that the police must conduct the enforcement between April 2 and April 30, as well as Aug. 1 to Aug. 15.
