Brookfield PD Warn About Still River Greenway Closure

BROOKFIELD, CT — The police have taken to social media to warn residents that the Still River Greenway is still closed, and hazardous.

Although the police have closed off the area using caution tape, hikers have taken to removing the tape, the PD wrote in a post on Facebook.

"There are still hazards across the trail and hazards above the trail.," police said.

Police also caution that emergency medical services will meet with delays should they be required by any hiker in distress on the trail.

The hazards are part of the aftermath of the storm that battered Brookfield on May 15.
