Brookfield Police Conduct Investigation Leading to Arrest of Redding Official

The following information was provided by Redding Police Chief Douglas Fuchs.

On November 23, Brookfield Police arrested former Redding Superintendent of Highways Bruce Sanford on a warrant for the charge of larceny in the first degree. 

The arrest was the result of an investigation begun in July into . Brookfield police conducted this investigation at the request of the Redding Police Department as the Town of Redding was the victim of the alleged larceny.

Sanford turned himself in at the Brookfield Police Department after learning of the warrant. He was processed without incident and released on a written promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on December 8.
